I have found that most social media sites are anything but social and most serve to enable trolls, bullies, spammers and any other unsavory or illegal activity they claim to be against while actually suppressing civil rights, privacy and security. George Orwell’s 1984 wasn’t meant to be an instruction manual.
Unfortunately these sites can’t be avoided completely so I do have accounts even if they may be largely abandoned and waiting for someone the right perosn or people to give me reason to spend some time there. I would like to find a way to automatically push updates from this site as posts onto other platforms but there will always be more here than there. No point in building my house on someone elses lot after all…
